Amazigh Pillow - Turqouise
Early cave paintings from the Sahara depict lush resource-rich lands filled with giant animals and hunter-gathering people. This was what life looked like before the desertification of the Sahara. The paintings were done by the Amazigh, or free people. Also called Berbers, a word derived from the Greek and Roman word for barbarian- which meant "other" and "primitive". The "others" worshipped the sun and moon, lived in connection with the earth, the solar system and the animals as one cohesive system. Seems we could all be a bit more "other" like the Amazigh.
Turqoise with light blue and pink detail. Aprox. 18"x 18"
