Country Stool with White Legs
“Our life is frittered away by detail. Simplify, simplify.”
It’s hard not to imagine Thoreau approving of this elegant stool. In fact, he probably had one just like it at Walden, perhaps in the hallway or right outside his front door--maybe in the kitchen (we can’t say where he liked to take off his boots). What we can say is that wherever you decide to put this classic, you’re sure to come to cherish it. Remember: it’s often the least ostentatious things that we end up finding the most joy in.
