Moroccan Tribal Rug

Graphic shapes and warm grey tones on this small Moroccan rug.  Handmade in the traditional Berber technique.  This size is perfect wherever a mat is needed, bedside or at the base of a stairway etc. These rugs are made to use in either direction. In Moroccan households you can find them facing tuft "up" during the cooler months and "down" during the hotter months.  Subtle asymmetries in shape and detail as to not disguise the hand of the artist and its natural material. This precious rug looks like a shrunken version of its larger family members; despite its size no detail is left unconsidered.
