Moroccan Double Diamond Rug

Simple and bold graphic shapes on this Moroccan Beniourain.  Handmade in the traditional technique at a woman's cooperative in Oued Zem, Morocco.  These rugs are made to use in either direction. In Moroccan households you can find them facing tuft "up" during the cooler months and "down" during the hotter months. They are made using natural colors from sheep and goat in the area. Subtle asymmetries in shape and detail as to not disguise the hand of the artist and its natural origins. Absolutely one-of-a-kind and made to last, this rug is like artwork for the floor.
