Antique Ice Cream Barrels

Some would argue the best ice cream parlors in India still use "sanchas" to produce it. That is, the slatted wooden barrels used to contain and carefully churn the silky rich goodness.  While you may not continue the tradition at home, one can still appreciate the craft with a relic. We found these barrels in Ahmedabad, traditional wood structured with steel rings and the original metal labels. Use them for storage, as sculptural pieces, or even consider glass on top for use as a side table (and perhaps a bowl of ice cream every so often to "honor history", of course)
