Bone Inlay Coffee Table

Originally a tribal low table from Nagaland, later carried onto the Indian mainland where artisans meticulously embellished its surface with intricate bone inlay. The result is a piece layered with history. Raw and architectural in form yet ornate in detail. Hand-carved teak and thousands of individually placed inlay fragments create a rhythmic floral geometry across the surface, giving the table the feeling of an object that has traveled, evolved, and gathered stories over time. Beautiful as the textured piece in a minimal setting, or for a space that embraces pattern, patina and collected character.
